The CLASSIC: Old School looks cloak a hi-tech sealed disc drag and ventilated spool. The right choice for 10' Switch, and Spey Rods.
The black front and back plates, and serpentine handle evoke the classics. But the old reels don't have the superb Power Matrix drag system, and a seriously ventilated V-spool, which keeps the weight down for their size and capacity. And the classic click sound is "tweedish" enough for any salmon river.
These reels are designed for longer rods, spey particularly but we stuck the baby Classic on a 10' 5wt Z-Axis, teeny bit butt heavy but that is a light light rod. This would balance better on a 10' 6wt, or 11' 5wt. Each reel is individually numbered and comes with its own very nice leather case.
